WHAT IS IT?
Temporary accommodation for adults experiencing homelessness for a limited period, meeting basic needs such as housing, personal hygiene, food, clothing treatment, and psychosocial support.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
The process for obtaining temporary shelter varies significantly and is specific to each case. To stay in a shelter, you may need to provide proof of legal entry into Portugal, a passport, residence permit, or ID card. Therefore, it is important to note that staying in a shelter can be challenging for those who are undocumented in the country. If you find yourself in that situation, you may be referred to AIMA for assistance. In some cases, you may also be advised to contact your embassy or consulate.
